At Stance4Health we have designed an app that can help you find your way to healthy habits that are compatible with your lifestyle.

How do we do it? 

By focusing on 4 fundamental pillars:

1. Scientific basis. We have built a system based on reliable and validated data. Some elements have even been the subject of scientific publications.  Our food databases are probably the most complete and thanks to them we can make better calculations.

2. High level of customisation: Of course, we take into account your nutritional needs, but also what you like, what you don't like, how many times you like to eat per day, even how many plates you like to have for the main meals of the day or what portion size you are most comfortable with. There are a multitude of combinations to achieve the same amount of energy and nutrients, with more or less food.  All this is very important because each person has different habits and preferences and adapting to them makes it easier, more enjoyable and therefore sustainable over time.
The suggested weekly menu will include the ingredients for your preferred portion size, preparation instructions in case you don't have much experience in the kitchen and it will even elaborate your shopping list. Convenient, isn't it?

3. Dynamic communication with the user. In other words, the app doesn't just make suggestions. If you decide to eat out, you can tell the app what you have actually eaten and, if your choice is far from your needs, it will make a recalculation to compensate for the mismatch and rebalance your diet.

4. Nutrition education. Our aim is not to make you an expert in nutrition, nor to make you study, only to provide you with the tools to become a conscious and critical consumer. We don't want you to get carried away by myths or biased information. Little by little, without realising it, you will acquire this knowledge and make better choices.

Does it seem complicated to you? You will see that it is actually simple:
  • The app puts at your disposal an extensive database of foods, even branded ones, where you can easily consult the nutritional information of the products and their ingredients. No need to read the small print on the packaging. You will find it on the screen of your smartphone by simply scanning the barcode.
  • You can add your own recipes, with your favourite ingredients, and the app will show you their nutritional information. By comparing versions of the same recipe you can see for yourself how the use of one ingredient or another impacts on the final result.  As a starting point, you will find a database of thousands of recipes with their nutritional information.
  • At the end of each week, it will tally the results and, if there has been a considerable imbalance in any nutrient, it will not only tell you but will also explain how to adjust it, so that in the coming weeks you will be more aware of your choices when substituting the suggested recipes.
  • In addition, our owl will share one of his wise tips every day.
At Stance4Health we have devised the app as a travel partner, which tries to guide you and show the way and where you set the pace. The key to healthy eating is the adoption of good habits: physical activity and a good relationship with food, maintained over time, in which social life and " whims" also have a place.
